I just had to share this with you.  I don’t know if you have heard or seen this yet, but it is an awesome song.  These images really bring this song to life.

Thank you, Lord, for making me “a new creation”.

Family Journey

Our family has embarked upon a new journey.  Not only have we started upon the journey that God has laid before us, but now we (as a family) are preparing our bodies for the journey.  We have joined Weight Watcher’s together.  I am so excited about this part, because Jim has jumped right on the wagon and has been encouraging to Katie and me.  Our 1st weigh in will be this Thursday, April 3, and my prayer is that we have all lost something.  I hope that Jim has lost enough to keep him motivated to stick with it and that Katie has lost enough to show her that hard work can pay off when you really stick with it.  I would ask that each of you would be in prayer for the journey that we have embarked upon.  (The weight loss as well as our journey to further the Kingdom.)

If you are coming to our house on Thursday night, we will be there, so don’t leave if you get there before 7.  We will be having a dish called “Ropa Viejo” for the adults (along with Guacamole and Pico, with Tortillas) and some finger food “snacks” for the kids (veggies and tortilla-ham and cheese-rolls with dip).  We can’t wait to share our time of fellowship with you.  We so look forward to this time of growth in our week.

I would like to say thank you to these men who have been such an encouragement to Jim during his time of growth- Mike, Buddy, Kenneth, and John (Newman and Cross)- you will never fully understand the impact that you have had on him (and our family).  My prayer of thanksgiving is that God pour out blessings upon you the same way that you have poured them out upon Jim.   And, to the families of these men, may God continue to bless the leader of your home.

Well, that is all for now.  Let me leave you with this thought:  “When we fail to see all the blessings that God has poured out, we fail to recognize God.”  (I pray that may eyes will always be open!)
